For more than two decades, Dan Ferguson has been a creative, passionate leader and an award-winning designer. His strong business acumen in the interactive marketing space has led to the establishment of three successful, nationally recognized digital agencies. He is often considered one of the forefathers of Advergaming, and Brandweek Magazine named Dan a “Marketer of the Next Generation” for his work.

As the Co-Founder and Vice President of Creative Services at Blockdot, Dan is responsible for ensuring that innovative customer solutions are strategic, compelling, visually impactful, and move the end user toward action. He is the senior creative force of the company, representing the heart, soul, entrepreneurship, and humor of the Blockdot crew. While Dan “draws outside the line,” he always stays on the page.

Prior to Blockdot, Dan co-founded NVision Design, where he designed the Internet phenomenon Elf Bowling — the #1 downloaded independent game in history and, according to USA Today, “one of the best viral marketing success stories of the year.”

Dan has won numerous awards for his work and speaks at many conferences every year as a subject matter expert in online marketing, Advergaming, and casual gaming.

Dan served in the military where he starred in a US Army “Be All You Can Be” national campaign. He and his wife of 9 years have two children. He has the unique honor of being part of the Star Wars legacy; the Jedi Knight “Dando Urguson” is named after him. In his spare time he enjoys collecting music, pushing pixels, traveling, and building LEGOS with his kids.

Dan received a degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington.
