Dan Klitsner is Founder and creative director of  KID Group. Since 1990 ‘KID’ has been one of the top ten invention groups for the toy industry. With partners Gary Levenberg and Brian Clemens, the San Francisco studio specializes in combining physical play with digital experience and has won international accolades for creating addictive game play that gets kids up and active.  KID is most well known for inventing active games involving interactive musical play such as Hasbro’s “Bop It”, and Wild Planet’s  electronic tag game HyperDash.

KID Group has created three #1 toys, and received 2 gold IDEA awards, and 4 TOTY’s (Toy Of The Year Awards). Dan also Co-founded QiGO Inc (“Key Go”) based on the invention of a Plug-and-play USB Key technology that securely and seamlessly connects to any Cloud-based content or private community. QiGO has been used by many major toy companies to simply connect children to kid-safe internet content.

Dan has been issued over 75 patents, and his personal design expertise is often put to use judging product innovation, including the IDSA international design competition, the Consumer Electronics Show, the Toy of the Year Awards and teaching classes in invention and design at California College of Arts and Crafts, San Francisco State and the San Francisco Academy of Art. Dan graduated with a BS in Industrial Design from Art Center College of Design in 1982.
